- Desloratadine relieves symptoms of allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages caused by allergies, hay fever, or dust allergies).
- These symptoms include sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy throat, and itchy, red, or watery eyes.
- Desloratadine is also used to relieve symptoms of hives (a skin condition caused by allergies).
- This symptom relief lasts for a full day and helps you resume your normal daily activities and sleep.
How to use Aerius syrup
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

- Shake well before use.
- Average doses:
- Adults and children 6 years of age and older: Take one 5 ml spoonful once at bedtime or as directed by a physician.
- Children (under 6 years): As directed by a physician.
- Doses may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
- If you take more medicine than you should, talk to your doctor or go to the hospital right away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.

Helpful Tips to Reduce Allergy Severity
- Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to thin out phlegm.
- Inhale steam: Take a hot shower or boil water and pour it into a bowl, turn your head toward the bowl (stay at least 1 foot away), place a towel over the back of your head to form a tent, and inhale.
- Use some inhalers (humidifiers), for example Vicks Humidifier , to loosen phlegm.
- Avoid inhaling irritants such as dust, perfumes, or pollutants. Wear face masks to reduce exposure to allergens.
